Masters Tournament 2026 Market Watch: Scheffler Leads But the Board Has Cracks

The Masters Tournament 2026 tees off Thursday, April 9 at Augusta National Golf Club. Scottie Scheffler enters as the favorite. The market has him priced at +550. That is the most money you need to risk to get any player near reasonable return here.

Rory McIlroy is the defending champion. However, he won the 2025 Masters at -11, completing the career Grand Slam. Now he comes back wearing the green jacket. The market has him at +1200. That creates an interesting setup heading into Thursday.

Masters Tournament 2026: The Odds Board

Reading the board:
Worth noting: Odds = what sportsbooks are currently offering.
At the same time, DG Fair = what DataGolf’s model says the fair price should be.
The numbers show Win % = DataGolf’s projected win probability.

That said, when Odds are HIGHER (longer) than DG Fair, the market is paying more than fair — that is where value lives.

Value signal: Odds > DG Fair = market underprices this player.

Matsuyama, Hideki+2800+29003.4%15.7%28.7%

The board shows three players priced shorter than their fair value. Scheffler sits at +550, but fair value lands at +700. McIlroy is at +1200, while fair sits at +1600. Most notably, DeChambeau is at +1200 against a fair price of +2100. That gap is the widest on the board.

Sharp Money vs Square Money

The public is clearly on Scheffler and McIlroy. Furthermore, both names are recognizable. Both have won here recently. Scheffler took the green jacket in 2024. McIlroy won it in 2025. That recent history pulls casual money toward both names.

However, the numbers point elsewhere for value. Matt Fitzpatrick sits at +2350 against a fair price of +2200. That is a gap that favors the player. Furthermore, Si Woo Kim at +5000 compares to a fair price of +4600. Russell Henley shows a similar setup at +5500 against +5200 fair.

Meanwhile, DeChambeau represents the sharpest overpricing on the board. He is at +1200. Fair value is +2100. That is a 900-point gap. The market is paying significantly less than the numbers suggest this outcome is worth.

Top-5 and Top-10 Markets

Beyond outright winners, placement markets offer a wider look at who fits Augusta. Here are the key numbers from the board.

Rahm, Jon26.5%42.4%+1000
McIlroy, Rory22.7%37.3%+1200

MacIntyre, Robert—26.7%+3500
Matsuyama, Hideki15.7%28.7%+2800
Young, Cameron15.3%27.2%+2300

Fitzpatrick carries an 18.3% top-5 probability at +2350. That is nearly the same top-5 rate as DeChambeau. DeChambeau is priced at +1200. Also worth noting, Fleetwood shows 31.8% top-10 odds at +2250. That is a longer price than Aberg, who carries fewer top-10 percentage points at 29.2%.

H2: One Market Observation for Masters Tournament 2026

The single most interesting number on the Masters Tournament 2026 board involves Bryson DeChambeau. The market has him at +1200. Fair value according to the model sits at +2100. That is a +900 gap, the largest on the entire board.

By contrast, every other player priced near +1200 sits much closer to their fair value. McIlroy is at +1200 with a fair of +1600 — a gap, but a manageable one. DeChambeau’s gap is nearly double that. The Masters Tournament 2026 market is pricing DeChambeau significantly shorter than the numbers support. That observation stands on its own heading into Thursday.
